- Hmmm... This sounds like a problem I once had. Are you saying that the
- machine becomes "locked", i.e. you can't move the mouse pointer, nothing
- happens etc.? If so it may be a result of all the stuff you crammed in to
- the amiga. I had a 3,5" HD and a 1230 in my machine, and I noticed that I
- put all the screws back into my amiga, which meant I had to squeeze it
- hard together, there was some kind of short circuit and I ende up like
- you.
-
- Anyway, the cure seemed to be to just "loosen my tie". Don't force your
- Amiga back in one peace by tightening all the screws and so on. Make sure
- that none of the components on your hard drives print board(all the chips
- andcircuits and stuff) touch the metal plating which covers the
- motherboard (you might wanna isolate with some plastic/tape, but don't
- stuff too much shit in there so that it might catch fire...). Also make sure
- that this metal plating is not pressed against the motherboard in any way
- (especially your hard drive may tend to do this). You can support it by
- inserting cardboard pieces or likewise in between.
-
- That should be it then. You just have to try it out and see what happens.
- (Don't be nervous if the system crashes completely. It happened a million
- times to me and nothing was destroyed.)
-
- Have a nice evening (he, he), and good luck!
