  18. Hmmm... This sounds like a problem I once had. Are you saying that the 
  19. machine becomes "locked", i.e. you can't move the mouse pointer, nothing 
  20. happens etc.? If so it may be a result of all the stuff you crammed in to 
  21. the amiga. I had a 3,5" HD and a 1230 in my machine, and I noticed that I 
  22. put all the screws back into my amiga, which meant I had to squeeze it 
  23. hard together, there was some kind of short circuit and I ende up like 
  24. you.

  26. Anyway, the cure seemed to be to just "loosen my tie". Don't force your 
  27. Amiga back in one peace by tightening all the screws and so on. Make sure 
  28. that none of the components on your hard drives print board(all the chips 
  29. andcircuits and stuff) touch the metal plating which covers the 
  30. motherboard (you might wanna isolate with some plastic/tape, but don't 
  31. stuff too much shit in there so that it might catch fire...). Also make sure 
  32. that this metal plating is not pressed against the motherboard in any way 
  33. (especially your hard drive may tend to do this). You can support it by 
  34. inserting cardboard pieces or likewise in between.

  36. That should be it then. You just have to try it out and see what happens. 
  37. (Don't be nervous if the system crashes completely. It happened a million 
  38. times to me and nothing was destroyed.)
